Reimagining How I See Heraldry Archive Searching

I had big plans for improving upon or making entirely new camping gear for the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) this coming camping season. All these plans being lined up to work on during the late winter early spring. And low, doth I find my heraldry submission to reach its culmination at peak camp prepping season – only to discover that it requires an IAP (Individually Attested Pattern) – three examples of this pattern in medieval heraldry, without which my heraldry is told…

So I have two options – either find three examples in medieval heraldry OR submit a redesigned version that works.

Not one to be dissuaded by a challenge I took it with both hands and set out to prove it can be done. Within the first two weeks I found my first one, then a few days after the second. I was on a roll. Then a whole month goes by in a blink of an eye.

Hence this blog – my dear sweet motivator where I can vent in a creative fashion to bolster my mojo.

So, in order to make myself feel rejuvenated for further Heraldry Archive Diving (and those heraldry memes I’ve been doing really do help, and I plan on continuing that as this process continues), I’m altering my perceptions of what I am doing…
