March For Science – A Canadian Perspective + Free Image For Protest

March for Science is fast approaching and people are sharing what their plans and props are for the March and getting pumped up for the big day. What is March For Science? Well, its a protest against the order to silence public servants which includes every scientist that has dedicated their services to the American people, and against the administration’s blatant disregard for scientific evidence in determining policies that affect the nation. In essence, the current USA political administration is all about “Party over People” in wanting to push their Party’s ideologies into the system while they have all the power and nothing to stop them. Well, nothing but the citizens themselves.

We Canadians know how you feel, we’ve been there, having had a similar march for the exact same reason when Stephen Harper was Prime Minister of Canada.

Scientists from across the country staged a mock funeral on Parliament Hill to mark what they called “the death of evidence,” protesting government funding cuts to basic research.

Now, unless Don Trump gets impeached (which should have happened several times over – but hey, the president is on the same side as congress so they’ll just let it all slide so he can do their bidding – Read what I wrote on how the USA got to this point here). The people of the USA will have to fight from the ground up until Don Trump leaves office just as Canadians had to do with Stephen Harper – just be sure to take every precaution to ensure that he does not get into office again! That is something that managed to happen to Canadians with Harper. Do not make our mistake, do not let these violations to democracy go quietly into the dark. Being quiet is to be forgotten. So be bold and public as much as possible to keep the politicians on their toes, the media reporting on these issues, the public aware and motivated to fix the problems, and provide solutions that people can actively support to move in the direction to fix these problems. Otherwise it is for naught.

So yeah, this March For Science is a Big Deal. And when I first heard about it a few months ago, I had to do something to help contribute in some way. And here it is,

Feel free to manipulate, print, and protest with these images. So long as no one is making a profit off of them, I don’t care how they are used.

I hope that this march dispels the science-denial and that it results in more citizens, and especially public officials, coming to back you up to help you fight for a brighter future for everyone. Because in the end, it doesn’t matter what you believe, the scientific facts always win – and that means if we do not fight together based on these facts, we humans lose.
