Feb 5, 2024 by Rua Lupa

There is an ongoing argument in Canada that there is a “Population Crisis” wherein the immigration rate has brought in over a million people last year. This argument ignores the bigger picture

  4. For Naturalistic Practitioners, Are Pagan Aspects A Distraction From Naturalistic Goals?

I simply find myself asking, “what is the point?” and get the sense that it is the feeling of emotional connection that is being sought out, and familiar imagery can make that easier – hence the personification of nature. This is something that I am very wary of for one major reason – Nature is very complex and metaphorical personification of Nature, by its very nature, over simplifies these complexities.

  5. Canada Flag Showing Truth

Jun 27, 2021 by Rua Lupa

The time for words is over, now is the time to act on those words. Otherwise those words are empty and worthless, and the Flag displayed here is a truer representation of Canada, a Canada that is okay with these atrocities.

  7. Identity: Me, Them – Us

Dec 11, 2020 by Rua Lupa

We all have an identity, it forms who we present ourselves as and informs who we align with. It is something we do not really talk about outside of an Us versus Them narrative though. I think that should change, because I believe that is where most of our societal conflicts stem from.

  9. Dear Cottagers in COVID-19 Crisis

Apr 5, 2020 by Rua Lupa

A lot of people never have that option and do not expect to because it is not and will not be in reach no matter how hard and long they work or save. Having a cottage is not as common or normal an experience as it appears to be expected – it is a reflection of wealth status. So a 2nd home should not be treated as equal as an only home – it is not a necessity, it is a luxury.

It was a merry camp with much song and libation. I had brought out my djembe and we played and sung deep into the night. The passing rains could not hinder the spirit of this house! Their fire roared ever on!

Brouhaha was such a good time, I had to remind myself to make use of my camera to capture it! Thank you to our hosts, Penda and Sibylla for using your farm, and all of Northgeatham for their work in making this event possible. I hope to join you all here for many years to come!

In my case, I was grateful that I packed a large sea sponge that I liberally soaked and squeezed onto myself and others. Linen kerchiefs soaked and snapped a few times now and then and worn around the neck were highly effective for keeping cool. Others enjoyed foot baths in the shade.

The Milk Industry is making a splash lately with how Millennials have ended up bring back Milk Couriers. Great news for those who love sustainability. Unfortunately many members of the public have taken this news and decided to damn the milk industry all together, citing many things that are indeed harmful practices.

Its that time of year when Death is displayed in all its G(l)ory, and so is also a time when many families have to start the conversation on what Death is and how to come to terms with that.

  18. Save Herbalists from ‘Alternative Medicine’

The problem is that there is a conflation between ‘alternative medicine’ and ‘medicine’, and along with that, that ‘alternative medicine’ is even an acknowledged term to begin with.
